If you are in the Garden District there is no better cafe to stop at and have a coffee or a delicious pastry than Still Perkin’, which will shortly become the “Chicory Cafe.” Still Perkin’ is located in the iconic “Rink”, which was built in 1884 as a roller skating rink and has since gone through a series of transformations from stable to mortuary, to grocery store, and even a Texaco.

One of the best things at Still Perkin’ is the Mango Iced Tea. Nothing, and I mean nothing, cools you down and satisfies you after a long walk through the Garden District than the Mango Iced Tea. If pastries are more your speed try the apple fritter or one of their blueberry muffins, both are big, fluffy, and unbelievably scrumptious.

The cafe is located diagonally from the famous Lafayette Cemetery #1 and is one of the best people-watching spots in the Garden District.
